Filipino boxer Mike Plania faces American Ra'eese Aleem on Sept. 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California

Both Plania and Aleem weighed in at 121.6 pounds lbs

25-yearold Plania's win would dethrone WBO and NABO super bantamweight champion Aleem

Ra’eese Aleem is 32 years old

The ten-round battle will serve as an undercard for the heavyweight main event between Andy Ruiz and Luiz Ortiz

Plania is presently ranked second in the WBO, behind only the top boxer Luis Nery and former champion Stephen Fulton, while Aleem is placed sixth

Plania won't have it easy, however, as Aleem is undefeated in 19 matches including 12 knockout victories

Plania, a native of General Santos City, has a 26-1 record with 13 knockouts

Since his first defeat, in November 2021 against Ricardo Nunez, he has won 11 consecutive matches

If Plania wins, he'll be the Philippines' next candidate for a championship match after Nonito Donaire and Mark Magsayo's defeats
